Alongside acting, she is also a veteran of games shows. She is the daughter of scientist Richard F. Post and his wife, poet Marylee Post was raised in Walnut Creek and Stanford alongside her twin siblings. Las Lomas High School was where she studied and played soccer. She attended Pomona College for a short duration and graduated at Lewis & Clark College, Oregon. The previous marriage she had was to Stephen Knox. Post has been married from 1982 on to Michael A. Ross, an actor and a writer, and father of two daughters. Post's role as a wife, mother and actress is admired by many Hollywood stars.
