Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams (born on the 20th of August, 1974 in Aviano Italy). American actress. Famous for her naive and charming characters. Adams was the daughter of a U.S. Army officer in Italy and grew to be a resident of Castle Rock Colorado. In the mid-1990s, she began doing professional dance and performance at Boulder's Dinner Theatre in Colorado and Country Dinner Playhouse. Later she was in Minnesota, at a local theatre, she was a chosen to be a part of the mock documentary about beauty contests called Drop Dead Gorgeous. Following her successful screen debut where she played an obnoxious but friendly contestant, Janet relocating from Minnesota to Los Angeles where she began a professional acting career. Between June 1951 and September 1962, she was wed with actor Tony Curtis. She is also the mother of Kelly Curtis & Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh was found by actress Norma Shearer and was offered a contract to join MGM in the late 1940s. She was in numerous acclaimed films in the next decade, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) and Living It Up (a Martin and Lewis-film that was released in 1954).
